Hilly Binie ("the App") is developed by GreenSquare. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Property address

When you set up the App, you select your suburb, street, and house number. This is stored locally on your device only and is used solely to look up your bin collection schedule from Hills Shire Council. We do not transmit your address to our servers.

Notification preferences

Your notification settings (timing preferences and enabled reminders) are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit this data.

Third-Party Services

Hills Shire Council API

The App fetches bin collection data from the Hills Shire Council's public data service. Your suburb, street, and house number are sent to this service to retrieve your schedule. Please refer to Hills Shire Council's privacy policy for information about how they handle this data.

Google AdMob

The App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and other data to serve relevant ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Storage

All personal data (your address selection and notification preferences) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is not backed up to any cloud service by us and is removed if you uninstall the App.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Collection data is sourced from publicly available council information available at thehills.nsw.gov.au. Always check the official Council website for the most up-to-date information.
